off to some otherwheres!

To put it bluntly, the Tokyo BABYLON fandom has had its day. It is moribund, if not actually undead, bad Tsubasa pun here. I know, because I was there during the latter part of said day (do I sound like a pretentious koala yet?), and I can admit that it's done. After the final release of Tokyopop's original official English translations, things just sort of...petered out gently. Rising on the horizon was CLAMP's new project, Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, and also a web service named Tumblr, which is either the worst or best thing to happen to fandom since fanlistings replaced shrines as the default. I have to admit I'm leaning towards the former, personally. (Look, while LiveJournal was probably the shiftiest service to ever exist, it was incredibly conducive to fostering a rich fandom experience and connection between said fans. Tumblr? Not so much. Anyone who tells you that a like or a commentless reblog counts as an interaction between fans is a liar.)

Which is all a long-winded way of saying: there's not much TyoBabi or X stuff around on the internets anymore. This makes me a sad bunny, but there's still some content hanging around as stubbornly as Hokuto's belief in happy endings. (Hey, who knows? Maybe someone somewhere will take complete leave of their senses and create TyoBABI TV (without actually effing plagiarising anything dear god kill me) and the interest will blossom again. Hey, this is a CLAMP fandom. Anything's possible.) That being said, here's some of them. (If you have a TyoBABI or X site that you'd like me to link, by all means, let me know!
